I have spent a great day with my family and I am reminded that this time of year is perhaps the best time of year, for friends and family, our loved ones, are nearer to us in spirit. And also... now I can go blow up Luigi in Mariokart! Life is many things, but ultimately it is good.

Well this is it, crunch time. I am now left with two three page essays, a five page paper, an eight minute speech, and a 100 question test to finish up by Wednesday. I have grown over this past semester and in the end that should make all the difference. A's, success... It was 28 years ago today that John Lennon the man was murdered outside his home, the Dakota, in Manhattan. John Lennon displayed pure unequivocal aspirations to bring peace, creative thought, and feelings of brother/sisterhood, despite myriad differences, to everyone who had ever blinked in bright disparate horizons. It is tough going through this world aware of the fact that such a spirit of man is gone from the earth. He was the last of a dying breed, cut from the same cloth as Martin Luther King Jr., and Gandhi. His memory, song, message and proud works stand strong today in millions, if not billions, of people that speak his name. His soul visits us as we carry on. Remember to live your life for the betterment of others (yourself will be taken care of) and remember... John Lennon Lives On. My Impulsive Review will cover "The X-Files: I Want To Believe" which has just come out on DVD. The movie is an extension of the T.V. series which originally had a pair of F.B.I. agents assigned to the weird, paranormal, and unexplained phenomena of the world. Mulder and Scully were to investigate, F.B.I. style, the mysteries and try to solve them in the face of adversity (their colleagues were rarely open to believe what they had seen and often opposed them). I knew it would happen. I wrestled a bear sized barrel (or was it a box) of granola as it teetered on my pile of soap and cheddar cheese pretzel Combos. I tread water amidst a zombiefied crowd foaming at the mouth for holiday baskets filled with candy and I knew... Christmas was less than three weeks away and the Holiday Season was full on! Apparently I had forgotten that straight A's is not a feasible gift for anyone's holiday present and I must admit (papers, tests, and speeches aside) that I am entirely unprepared for the chaotic festivals that bring hope and good cheer to all. I will however win the academic battle early (this weekend) so as to be free enough to enjoy the giving of this one of the best times of year. Christmas tree goes up this weekend at the Rune Works Tower! |
